COVID-19 DETECTION FROM MASS SPECTRA OF EXHALED BREATH
The NTA study presents a real-time gas mass spectrometry experiment using a miniaturized system based on our proprietary technology and without a chromatographic column.
- NTA Method: Nanoscale devices were used for gas sampling, and partial least squares regression (PLSR) was employed to infer the concentration of two overlapping compounds: dichloromethane and cyclohexane.
- NTA Results: The system obtained raw spectra with good correlation compared to the reference database. The PLSR model demonstrated accuracy even in combined mixtures.
- NTA Conclusions: The combined approach of nanotechnology and signal analysis enables real-time detection of gaseous compounds without a chromatographic column, making the device portable and suitable for different analytical applications
